You may be confused that creating a website requires a lot of money.

Trust me, and I will give you three simple steps to create a website to take your business online, grow your sales, and earn more money.

You need only 1-2 hours of free time to create a website with proper guidelines.

Things You Need To Build a Website

  • Domain Name (www.yourdomainname.com)
  • Web Hosting (Service that store your website)
  • CMS (Content Management System like WordPress)

A professional website starts with a custom domain and hosting; although you can create a website for free, that will not be standard.

However, a fully functional website needs a secure and meaningful domain name. At the same time, you need hosting to store your website.

The domain needs to connect to the hosting. However, if you have a domain and hosting, you can upload your website. You can do this with coding, but I will show a coding-free concept in this tutorial.

WordPress is the most popular Content Management System (CMS) and is used by 35% of all the websites on the Internet. Seventy-five million sites use WordPress.

Customizing a WordPress website is usually simple. You can do this very quickly with drag and drop. Also, WordPress has many plugins that can take your website to another level.

Then why is it late? Let’s get started…

Step #1: Choose a Domain Name

What is a Domain Name?

The domain is the name of a website. Every website has a server and every server has an IP address. Through which the server can be found on the Internet. For example, the IP address of our website’s server maybe 170.198.168.212.

But in this way, it is not possible to remember the IP address of all the websites. Domain eliminates this problem.

IP Address is set for a domain. As a result, that website is loaded if you load that domain. This website’s domain name is www.cleverdecide.com

Different types of domains:

There are several types of domains.

Top-Level Domain: E.g. .com, .org, .net, .info, .pw, .me etc. These are the highest level domains.

  • .com (commercial business) the most common top-level domain.
  • .org (Organizations) typically non-profit.
  • .gov (Government agencies)
  • .net (Network organizations)
  • .edu (Educational institutions)

Top-level domains are classified into two broad categories:

  1. Generic Top-Level Domain: E.g. .com, .org, .edu etc.
  2. Country Code Top-Level Domain: E.g. .us, .uk. .pk. .bd etc.

How to Choose a Domain Name?

To choose a domain name, you should follow some rules given below.

  • Choose a name that is easy to type and pronounce.
  • Choose a domain name that can turn into a brand name.
  • The name should be short and simple.
  • Avoid confusing names and are not relevant to your product or niche or business.
  • Choose appropriate extensions like .com, .net, .org etc.

Where to Buy a Domain Name?

An annual fee is required to buy a domain name. A domain costs $10-$12 (it can vary) for one year. Some promo codes help you to save money.

Hosting is like your website’s blog or house. You need space to put your website on the internet like a home or space to give any shop. Web hosting means a place for the Internet.

Generally, premium hostings are four types.

create a website

Shared Hosting: Shared hosting means that there will be a hard disk in one PC. All the space of that hard disk is distributed among many hosting users.

VPS(Virtual Private Server) Hosting: Like your personal computer. The hosting provider will arrange a separate computer for you. T means that your site is more secure and has better speed.

Dedicated Hosting/Server: When a computer is used entirely as a server, it is called a dedicated server. Dedicated servers are costly. This hosting service is suitable for those whose website is much bigger and needs more security.

Reseller Hosting: Reseller hosting is similar to shared hosting. Reseller hosting is what you buy from different hosting providers and sell in the market.

Suppose you are a web developer and you have several clients of your own who need a domain and hosting. They asked you to design their website with the services of a good quality domain and hosting provider.

In that case, you bought the reseller package yourself and made your package and sold it to your client.

There are many hosting provider companies like Bluehost, Namecheap, Hostgator etc., from where you can buy a hosting package for your website. All of the hosting providers mentioned here are well-reputed.

All the hosting providers have different plans and packages. For instance, Namecheap has five different hosting packages: Shared Hosting, WordPress Hosting, Reseller Hosting, VPS Hosting, and Dedicated Hosting. Each hosting package has three different plans.
